Who we are

About us

“Officina dell’Arte” is a mosaic atelier that is part of the network of services of Children and Autism Foundation,.

“Officina dell’Arte” is in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, a region where mosaic tradition is rooted in the Roman era.
Mosaic masters of Pordenone area through times brought their art all over the world, from Moscow to Washington, from Paris to Buenos Aires.

“Officina dell’Arte” interprets nowadays this experience in a new and inclusive way.

The history of the location

Our location stands in an industrial archaeology site built at the end of the nineteenth century for the production of seats.

In 1912 Savio family of Pordenone’s industrialists bought the area to build a workshop dedicated to the production of fabric-woven.

In 2004 Children and Autism Foundation transformed part of that area in the present “Officina dell’Arte”, innovative center for the job inclusion of adults with autism spectrum disorders.

“Officina dell’Arte” has at the present three professional workshops interacting one another: mosaics, packaging and computer – and three rooms for exercise and wellbeing.

In the mosaic workshop are made mainly collective artcrafts, of small and big sizes, that are exposed in traveling exhibitions and in the showroom inside the workplace.
